Research Interests
Batka's has more than 22 years of experience in the consumer products and plastics industries. He is currently Director of Strategic Supply for Turtle Wax with responsibility for Global Sourcing, Supply Chain Planning, Contract Manufacturing, Warehousing, Transportation, and Distribution in North America. Previously, he held strategic supply chain planning and lean six sigma / continuous improvement roles with the Tropicana, Gatorade, and Carbonated Soft Drink divisions of PepsiCo. His plastics experience includes high-speed extrusion blow molding at Consolidated Container Company, which was a bottle supplier to Fortune 100 companies. Shawn also gained custom injection molding experience at Armin Molding. He has been heavily involved in multiple ERP and planning system implementation projects including SAP, JD Edwards, Manugistics, and Oracle.
